The Spring Mill Story:

Spring Mill Furniture was established in 1997 when Harold Martin and his son Brian decided they wanted to get into the woodworking business. They purchased an existing company called Pennytown Woodworking that specialized in building tables. Using a remodeled chicken house as their shop, they began building tables and table parts for other woodworking shops.
Several years later, they decided to convert part of the historic gristmill on the property into a retail showroom to display their work. As the business grew, they continued expanding the showroom by restoring more rooms in the mill. Harold, who loves old buildings, worked hard to maintain the charm of the original structure by leaving the beams exposed and restoring much of the stonework.

Today, we continue to specialize in building tables, and we also offer chairs, hutches, bookcases, and a full line of bedroom furniture from other small shops. Visit our store to see for yourself. And remember, if you don’t see exactly what you’re looking for, many times we can build your dream piece of furniture from a drawing or picture.
